JUNIOR YEARDuring junior year, students will need to decide what is right for them, and the best way to achieve their goals.
Students wishing to pursue their Associate of Arts or Sciences degree will continue an aggressive schedule at Valencia, possibly combined with AP classes on their high school campus. Students wishing to be a competitive applicant at out-of-state or private universities will want to balance their dual enrollment classes with AP classes on their high school campus. Students are eligible to take up to four classes per semester at Valencia during the school year and two classes during the summer semester (beginning with the summer between sophomore and junior year). By the time a student begins their senior year, they have the opportunity to have taken up to sixteen dual enrollment classes in addition to their chosen AP classes. |
SENIOR YEARStudents will continue on their chosen path, or adjust their academic choices in order to align themselves with their ambitions.
Students will work closely with their academic advisor, school counselor, and the College and Career Specialist to achieve their goals. In addition to AP exam credit, students have the opportunity to have been enrolled in up to twenty-four college classes, rigorously and uniquely preparing them for continued education or entrance into the workforce. Seniors who have met the requirements for an Associate of Arts or Associate of Sciences degree will be honored at the culmination of their senior year. |
